休 xiū
Explanation: rest
休息 have a rest;rest  休养 recuperate
    “休”是由人（ ）和木（ ）组成，指一个人倚在树旁休息，所以有“休止”和“歇息”的意思。后来这字又有了“不要”的意思。
   休 is a combination of （  ）and（  ）, picturing a person resting against a tree, signifying “rest”休息. From this original meaning, it was extended to mean “stop”, as in 争论不休 (zhēng lùn bù xiū: “argue without stop”). From “stop”, it was borrowed to mean “don’t”, as in 休要胡说 (xiū yào hú shuō: “don’t talk nonsense”).
