Description

In everyday life, anything satisfactory and commemoratory is considered a JOY event. The once popular Four-Joy Poem lists the four most JOY events in the olden days: rain after a long draught; meeting unexpected friends in a strange country; candle-lit wedding nights; and winning the imperial civil-service exam.

The fourth JOY "金榜题名时" shows us that being an imperial civil-service is an ideal job for ancient intellectuals. In the old times, it was a great event to become a government official, which could bring honors to their ancestors. Nowadays, along with the social and economic development, Chinese people's career concept becomes more and more diverse. What is an ideal job? It's entirely a matter of preference. So, my dear students, what is the ideal job in your mind? Today we'll come to talk about this topic.
